📋 Coach's Corner: March 2022
Your "Final Four" student funding opportunities with over $1 million in total prizes! Plus an opportunity to find your AR/VR dream job out of college.
We’re about to enter March … and March means Madness.
This is the time of year where mid-terms and college basketball are both in full swing. No matter how your school is (or isn't) shaping up for the big tournament, there is still plenty of Madness to go around this March in the world of university entrepreneurship.
I’ve compiled a “Final Four” of student funding opportunities that you definitely don’t want to miss out on this month!
As a Georgetown basketball fan … well … let’s just focus on the funding.
Before we dive into these upcoming funding opportunities, I wanted to highlight a very special launch event happening this Tuesday. My company - EcoMap Technologies - has been collaborating with leaders in the AR/VR industry to map out the ecosystem. Info on that event below.
Join us for the launch of a brand new tool that will offer the most robust set of XR industry job listings and resources ever created. Several major industry partners have been collaborating for the past few months to make this resource a reality, and we are ready to share it with the world!
To celebrate the launch, we’re gathering a panel of startup executives to discuss their experience building XR companies. We’ll also be hosting breakout sessions with startups and large corporations to discuss career opportunities.
Featured Speakers:
Neha Singh, Founder & CEO of Obsess
Jake Sally, COO of Jadu AR
Cy Wise, Cofounder of absurd:joy
In order to receive these e-mails directly to your inbox at the start of each month, just drop in your favorite email below. It’s the best way to keep an eye out for future funding opportunities.

💰 Student Funding Opportunities
Check out this non-exhaustive list of funding opportunities that are accepting applications RIGHT NOW. These are only the ones that most - if not all - university entrepreneurs are eligible for. Definitely check in with your own university e-ship center to see if there are any specific opportunities available to you.
Eligibility: Student entrepreneurs who want to launch their startup and begin a relationship with Pear. No idea is too early to be considered, and you do not need to be incorporated to apply. We're seeking dedicated founders with big ambitions. At least one member of your team must be a current student in the US or Canada.
Funding: Winning teams will receive a $100K SAFE (uncapped, no discount)
Eligibility: The student entrepreneurs pitching their startup at the CMU VC MUST be undergraduate students. Teams are allowed to have non-undergraduates, but the main founders must be undergraduates. Teams with member(s) taking a leave of absence are still eligible to participate.
Grant Funding: Over $100K+ in total prizes
Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate students enrolled at a four-year college or university in North America
Grant Funding: Over $215K+ in total prizes
Eligibility: US & Canadian undergraduates pursuing summer internships or their own ventures.
Grant Funding: 10KE will award $2,000 scholarships to 25 undergraduate students
